WHY NCOMPUTING?

For 15 years NComputing has pursued the idea of affordable, high performing desktop virtualization solutions. Our innovative and award-winning technologies serve customers large and small, in diverse markets, with varying use cases–from a solar-powered internet café in Zambia to a highly secure environment at the U.S Department of Defense. We’re confident our solutions will work for you.

HIGH PERFORMANCE

Today’s computers have more computing power than most users need, and much of it sits idle a majority of the time. We help you consolidate, virtualize, and distribute this computing power to where it’s needed the most.

BRING IT TOGETHER

Centralize the management of your operating systems, software applications, and deployed thin clients. Execute updates and provide tech support quickly and efficiently without disrupting your users.

LOW COST

Servers and thin clients cost less to acquire than an army of PCs. Thin clients use less energy, generate a fraction of a PCs fan noise and heat, and greatly reduce the need for hands-on support. Even use existing PCs past their expiration dates via software clients.

ENVIRONMENT FRIENDLY

We can’t live without PCs, so let’s learn how to live with them in a way that makes them friendlier to the environment. Thin clients and desktop virtualization reduce eWaste, energy use, and CO2 emissions

UNLOCK THE FUTURE

Introduce a new operating system without worrying about whether your PCs are technically capable of running it. Eliminate the PC refresh cycle by using durable low-cost thin clients instead of PCs. When you upgrade your server, everybody benefits.

VIRTUALIZATION IS IN OUR DNA

For fifteen years we’ve brought new technology to struggling communities, helped startups “startup” without breaking the bank, and streamlined Government and the Enterprise with desktop virtualization solutions that remain our focus and passion. Compute Smartly.

How does it work?

The additional users connect to the shared computer using an Ncomputing device, the monitor, keyboard and mouse connect to the Ncomputing device, the device is then connected to the shared computer through either the Local Area Network OR directly from the Ncomputing Device to the  computer.

Benefit

Ethernet virtual desktop

Today’s PCs are like supercomputers. And most PC users only use a small fraction—as low as 5%—of the power of their machines. NComputing takes the excess capacity and allows up to 100 users to each enjoy their own rich PC experience. They feel like they have their own PC, but at a fraction of the cost and without all of the maintenance headaches.\

Dramatically reduce your computing costs

The L250 costs less than half the price of entry-level PCs. And the ongoing savings are even higher. With no moving parts or local storage, repairs are rare and your maintenance costs are kept in check because you only have to maintain and upgrade the shared PCs—not the L250. In fact, whenever you refresh to the latest PC technology, your L250 users will automatically enjoy the increased performance. Going green? Compare the 5 watts of power consumed by the L250 to the 110 watts or more in a typical PC. This small access device (about half the size of a paperback book) consumes less power, generates less heat, produces less e-waste, and makes no noise.

Easy to install, simple to manage

Plug in your Ethernet cable, mouse, keyboard, and monitor. Install the included vSpace desktop virtualization software on the shared PC. It just takes a few minutes. You have now added multiple users, each with their own rich Windows environment. Best of all, you can run standard applications and your staff and users won’t need any special training.

Powerful and flexible

The L250 features a compact design, a stereo jack, a microphone jack, one USB 2.0 remote port and video resolutions up to 1400×900 for wide screens and 1280×1024 for standard 4:3 screens, all with 16-bit or 24-bit color support.
